Rooting Android Devices

Rooting is a process similar to Jail Break in Apple's Iphones and Ipads. Jail break will provide access to the internal systems, thus allowing us to install third-party apps. Similarly, in Android, rooting allow us to change the settings that require administrative authority. For instances, we can install softwares that require rooting like a software to take a screen shot, some folder locking software., etc.

Jail breaking an Iphone will void the guarantee provided by the company. So jail breaking is against the policy of Apple. But, Google doesn't stop their users from rooting. Android by default allows users to install their-party applications, by enabling it in settings. Android does not consider Rooting as being against its policies. By rooting, you mean, you can gain root access to your Android phone. It is said that some devices doesn't allow rooting. They display a blinking logo when rooted.

Rooting can change the way your phone looks, at the same time they are very risky.

Rooting gives root access to any software that you install. So installing a software, not authorized by Google may compromise the user privacy and security to a greater extend. Some apps may have malwares in it, thus spreading viruses, Trojans to spy the user, sending automated premium SMS, tracking the global or GPS location of the user., etc.

There are automated softwares for rooting, which can be easily got by googling your phone model.
